COMMUNITY IMPACT
The Junior League of Morgan County (JLMC) is pleased to announce its latest philanthropic partnership with the Albany Clinic, the pediatric outpatient clinic of the Mental Health Center of North Central Alabama, Inc.
The Albany Clinic will be supported as JLMC’s signature project for the next two years through fundraising endeavors and donated volunteer hours of service by Junior League members.
In addition to its longtime partnership with local non-profit PACT (Parents and Children Together), JLMC periodically selects an area organization to support as a signature project.
Through this collaborative philanthropy effort, the women of Junior League have committed to the remodeling and updating of the Albany Clinic facility.
By fundraising on behalf of the Albany Clinic for the next two years, JLMC hopes to create an environment of acceptance and comfort by making the facility’s appearance more approachable and kid-friendly.
DONE IN A DAY EVENTS
The Junior League of Morgan County is looking forward to making an impact again in our community this year through the volunteer hours and energy provided by our members. All Active JLMC members are required to justify their membership in the League by participating in approximately 30 hours of some form of volunteer service. To appropriately fulfill these hours, JLMC members complete Done In A Day events (DIADs) during the course of the JLMC year (August-May).
JLMC had made their presence known throughout the community this past year by participating in all of the fun and hard work of The Decatur Morgan Hospital Power of Pink Walk, Jaycees Riverfest, Hartselle Depot Days, FACES Comfort Bag Assembly, The Community Free Clinic Oyster Shells and Fish Tails, The Decatur Historic Christmas Tour, Hartselle Cotton Pickin' BBQ Contest, The Decatur Morgan Hospital Dragonboat Festival, and the fabulous 3rd Fridays in Downtown Decatur.
We seek volunteer opportunities with other community partners whose event/project compliments the Mission Statement of the Junior League and who share a passion for improving the lives of those in Morgan County.
